Contract drafting and review
A good contract is one that tells you how things end if they go wrong. This work is therefore worth most before signature, not after the default.
What this covers
- Reviewing a draft and pointing out where it puts you at a disadvantage
- Drafting so that the exit routes are covered
- Negotiating and revising the draft with the other side on your behalf
- Drafting and reviewing arbitration clauses
How it proceeds
- 01
Tell us the deal
Send the draft, or tell us what has been agreed: who does what, by when, and for how much.
- 02
Review or draft
We point out where the draft puts you at a disadvantage and propose wording, or draft afresh with the exit routes covered.
- 03
Negotiate the changes
The draft is revised with the other side until there is a version both can sign.
- 04
Signature and follow-up
The final version is checked before signature, with a summary of the dates the contract makes you track.
What we will need from you
- The draft you have received, or the terms agreed so far
- Details of the other party, such as its company certificate
- Documents the contract refers to, such as quotations, drawings or specifications
